Facing new digital habits, the brand chose DOOD to accelerate the digitalisation de la commande and turn its data into growth levers. Result: a sales channel already became #1 in less than 2 months.

We gave the floor to Benoît Hage (IT Manager) and Basile Meda (Ecommerce Manager), who lead the digital deployment within the network.

Why choose to digitalise the order with DOOD?

LPQ : “During Covid, we quickly deployed several click & collect and delivery tools. And when the stores reopened, we wanted to build on this digital foundation and deployed a table‑order solution. But the reality was daily bugs, poor integration with our POS and our loyalty program, and therefore a lot of complexity for our teams.”

The challenge: find a reliable solution, perfectly integrated with the two core systems Deliverect (e‑commerce management) and Como (loyalty), and capable of supporting an international strategy.

LPQ : “We were looking for a more viable solution, easier to manage and monitor daily. After consulting 3 providers, DOOD best met our needs. The integration with our POS (Syrve via Deliverect) and our loyalty program (Como) is total, and that changes everything. Concretely, a product has the same unique code in our POS, on DOOD and on Deliveroo. Result: zero friction for our teams.”

Result: fluidity for the teams, consistency for the client, and performance for the brand.

What has this changed for your teams and your customers?

In Belgium, the solution was deployed across all restaurants in June 2025, on the table‑order and click‑and‑collect journeys. One of the keys to success: offering a hybrid experience of the customer’s choice.

LPQ : “Adoption was facilitated by the fact that we offer a hybrid experience. The customer chooses: order with the server, with a QR code, or mix both. The teams save time on taking orders and can focus on service and customer relationship. For example, in our Ghent restaurant, the QR code can allow reassigning a service person to other tasks, in the kitchen for example, without loss of service quality. They also appreciate managing pre‑orders in advance, a service heavily used in bakery.”

LPQ : “Since we have DOOD, we’ve only received positive feedback from the teams, because the old system was not stable.”

The hybridisation here preserves Le Pain Quotidien’s DNA while maximising productivity.

What results have you observed on digital performance?

LPQ : “In Belgium, one month after deployment, DOOD has already become our #1 digital channel, ahead of Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. We see that if the system is reliable and the staff gets used to it. You quickly see the difference when the staff plays along.

And the average basket via DOOD is higher than a paper order, because it automatically pushes suggestions.

Finally, on the loyalty side, the inclusion rate via DOOD is already above the national average. We see that digital promotes customer identification.”

The DOOD suite is not limited to digitising the order. Each customer journey generates valuable data that become true performance levers: optimisation of the average basket through intelligent upsell, management of the channel mix (QR, C&C, delivery), or fine identification of customer behaviours to feed CRM strategies. With the AI and the data intelligence, we open new perspectives for international brands like Le Pain Quotidien

What are your goals for the future?

LPQ : “This year we have found the right partner and now we need to finish convincing the staff. We want to go further with intelligent cross‑selling and upselling, test different product presentations (A/B testing) and measure customer satisfaction via NPS. Our ambition is to extend the hybrid model to all restaurants, first to the Netherlands. Our vision is clear: make digital a real growth engine, without ever losing our DNA of friendliness.”

Our partnership with Le Pain Quotidien fits into our broader ambition: supporting international brands in their growth, with a solution capable of adapting to the specifics of each market, while maintaining overall coherence at head‑office level.

How did the deployment go?

LPQ : “The implementation was easy compared to other platforms. We were already well prepared with Deliverect. We already had product photos, descriptions, the different categories and menus, the upsellings. It requires work at the start but day‑to‑day maintenance is fairly quick and not very time‑demanding.”

And what about collaboration with DOOD?

LPQ : “We have very responsive support. We appreciate the openness to improvements. For us, DOOD is not just a tool: it is a strategic partner for our international growth.”

Successful digitalisation comes from the alliance between tool, support and business vision.

What advice for other restaurant chains?

LPQ : “Digital is clearly the future. Its implementation is not necessarily heavy but requires preparation. Once installed, it’s very flexible: you can quickly modify menus and offer an additional sales channel to customers. It’s also a real comfort for them: tourists who don’t speak the language well or customers who are hesitant to ask questions find all the necessary information in the digital menu. This reduces stress at ordering time. And above all, it should be seen not as a replacement of humans, but as support: a third arm for the server.”

The Le Pain Quotidien testimony illustrates a broader trend: large international brands are moving towards hybrid models, capable of reconciling digitalisation and conviviality. This is the vision that DOOD carries: making Food & Beverage purchase journeys more fluid, more performant. While giving brands the latitude to adopt and implement them while staying true to each brand’s DNA.

How Le Pain Quotidien speeds up its digital transformation with DOOD: seamless integrations, QR codes, click‑and‑collect, and loyalty across its Belgian and French restaurants.

[112,106

post-16531","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","category-success-stories
["GET
